And, we're back. . . We went to Corpus Christi (Portland) over this past weekend. God was it hot. It was Deb's sister's husband's (Steve) 50th birthday party. The "50" part kind of weighed on Steve, but I told him, "One day, 50 will sound pretty good, trust me." Fun was had by all. Good food, good company. They went to play golf on Saturday. It was so hot and humid, they quit after 14 holes and came back home. I don't golf, so Deb and I went sight seeing. Had lunch at "Alice Faye's on the Bay". Took in some real neat sights. This was the first time I had been there since 1989. We went down on Friday and came home on Sunday. Jim Younger was kind enough to feed the dogs for us. He's such a good boy. Things are starting to dry out, could use some rain. The dogs killed one of the guinnies last week. Of course, it had to be the silver one. They are supposed to be pretty rare. Now we only have 3. Don't plan on replacing them after they are gone, either. Oh, we ate supper at Blackbeards on Saturday. They had a guy and his wife playing and singing, along with their 4 yr old son, who played the accordian and sang. He got a couple of standing ovations. The food was scrumptious, too. It was neat watching the big boats coming and going. We saw some from Argentina and Singapore. I'd like to go back when it's not so stinking hot, and go fishing. We also brought back some fresh shrimp. $$ Well, I better get busy. More later, Rick.
