Hi-ho neighbors. Not much to report at this time. Opening day of deer season is tomorrow. I doubt many will be coming in to the feeders with corn. There is an awful lot of acorns on the ground, and there hasn't been enough rain to spoil them. May get some rain this weekend or early next week. Looks like I'm still screwed for X-mas this year, but at least I'll get the prior weekend off (unless they have another vote when I'm not there). I got my early voting done yesterday. If not, I would have to drive all the way out to Lake Victor just to vote. 3 miles to Burnet - 18 miles to Lake Victor: easy choice. UT game starts at 6:00PM tomorrow. I guess Younger will have plenty of time to be out of the stand and back in front of the TV by then.. . . . . ho-ho. I sure don't like it much when you get off work and are hard pressed to get everything fed before dark. I wish they would keep daylight saving time all year 'round. We had 41 degrees the last two mornings. Probably have a frost sometime in the next 2-3 weeks. Seems like just yesterday, I was planting the garden. I guess it's true: "Life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes!" Got my annual FLU shot last week. After that bout I had year before last, I don't want no re-ride. Gonna have pneumonia shots on Nov 14. They say it's designed to combat 23 strains of pneumonia, including sore throat, repiratory infections, sinus infections, etc. And the really neat part is that it remains effective for 5 years. Ah yes, the wonders of modern technology. Maybe one day, they'll start putting them on sugar cubes. How many of you remember having to wear half of a plastic easter egg on your shoulder for a couple of weeks. If you did use one, you're probably too old to remember it. Hee-hee. That's one of the perks of being a Marble Falls employee. They really try to take care of the hired help. Hey, how about the John Kerry?!!!!! Even Hillary is running backwards.
